Turkish Representatives Come Together for Ramadan Iftar in Baku

(MENAFN) Representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations operating in Azerbaijan gathered on Tuesday in Baku for an iftar, the evening meal that breaks the daily fast during Ramadan, according to reports.

The event was attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Baku Birol Akgun, TRNC Representative in Baku Ambassador Ufuk Turganer, officials from Turkish institutions, and teachers from Turkish educational establishments.

The iftar began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the call to prayer, after which guests enjoyed traditional Azerbaijani dishes.

Ambassador Akgun emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan, saying that they regard the country as their homeland. He highlighted that “the vision, solidarity, and joint action of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev play a role in guaranteeing peace and stability for both countries,” noting the challenges the region is currently facing.
